At the small Business orientation, the center gave us the paperwork to start placing numbers to our ideas. I needed food costs in order to know what to charge for the food, construction, equipment, leasing for the building (list below).
First I went to work on creating recipes (I usually just wing it) measuring and figuring out what it cost to make each dish I plan to have on the menu and some not so great ideas. fun fun fun and yum yum yum(some samples on the front of this blog)
Just to help you begin to salivate made with all living foods and of course love!:
fruit and green smoothie,
mexi pizza, tacos and rice
passion pasta, ravenous tomato ravioli
pizza that you will want to live for
Thai curry yumminess with, nori rolls and "fried" rice
veggie burger wraps, jicama fries, and rockin ranch salad
Kinky Orange Kale salad
Blake's famous Almond shake
Cocoa/carob Torte
creamy dream custard desserts
and more will daily specials
Second, the name what to name a delicious raw food restaurant???? I thought "Simply Deelicious" would work and yet I was not feeling totally inspired as to what menu theme I would like. I felt like an artist with all the right colors and lack of what to paint. Then one day I received a call from a friend who's little beautiful bonus daughter wanted to share the name "raw garden" cafe. I loved the garden part and still nothing. A few days later I came up with "The Garden Spot Cafe" and it just felt great!!! So the birth of my new baby has a name, The Garden Spot Cafe, a menu with a theme (I will include soon), and my heart feel peaceful and in bliss. fun fun fun
Third, numbers. This is fun and full of opportunity to learn and dream. What to charge, based on food cost vs market? How many people will come to The Garden Spot, per day, per month, per year? Start up expenses and sources and running costs. I never thought it would be this complex to create living food creations and an environment for others to sit down, relax and enjoy a beautiful experience. I will tell you this I know this is what I was born in this time space reality to do. I feel in my heart and soul that The Garden Spot Cafe will BE and BE successful! The Garden Spot Cafe IS I will put my gratitude out there to all who will be apart of an amazing experience. Thank you to all who helped create and love this dream with me!
